After an exciting Summer at the Library, with enrollment of more than 250 children and reading statistics showing children's books swelling the library's circulation during the Summer months (over 80 children FINISHED more than 10 books).. It's time to announce Fall programming for 2008!

THE CHILDREN'S ROOM WITH MISS NANCY!
Story hours will begin soon for little ones here at the library.
“Lap Stories” for little ones up to 3 ˝ years will begin on Tuesday, September 16th and be held every week until the holidays at 10:45 A.M. Evening story hours for little ones will be held on the same Tuesdays at 6:45 P.M. for working parents and their little ones. 

Storytimes with crafts for 3 1/2 to 6 year-olds will be on Wednesday afternoons at 1:30 P.M. beginning September 17th.

 

OTHER CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING

A Special Halloween program will be held on Tuesday, October 28th, at 4:30 pm in the upstairs Community Room.  Featured will be the snakes and critters of Mr. Jim Galloway to get us in the spirit of the holiday!

In October, all young people, from kindergarten through 12th grade, will be offered the chance to become a published author during our 18th annual  "Write and Illustrate Your Own Book Contest."  The contest ends on November 15th at 5:00pm.  Entries will be judged and winners will be notified the last week of November, and a reception will be held for winners and their families on Saturday, December 6th at 10:00 am in the Community Room on the 2nd floor of the Library.
